Books for Christmas

Lucky me!  I asked The Husband for some books for Christmas and he delivered.  Since I’m beginning the TBR Triple Dog Dare in January, reading (almost) exclusively books that I own until the end of March, I wanted to have in my possession some of the things I’ve most been wanting to read. IMG_2942I received Sherman Alexie’s Lone Ranger and Tonto Fist Fight in Heaven,  Prelude to Bruise by Saeed Jones (poetry,) and the fourth installment in the Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Novels, The Story of the Lost Child.  I’ve yet to read the third in that series, but I already own it, so I will be enjoying those in the coming months!  I read a few of the poems in Prelude already and it seems like it’s going to be very intense and beautiful.  Did you receive any books for Christmas (or your celebrated winter holiday) this year?  Or perhaps you’re spending some holiday gift money on books – tell me what you’re buying for yourself!

    1. Ha ha! Perhaps! I figure, these books are in my virtual TBR on Goodreads, and have been for a while, so it’s within the spirit if not the letter of the law! And I will make every effort to read from the books already on my shelves! 🙂

  1. Yay for bookish Christmas gifts 🙂 I’ve been seeing the Ferrante everywhere, sounds like I need to jump on that bandwaggon 🙂 I got wonderful presents, too, I’ve read Saga and am now reading Shadowshaper, so good!
