Three Year Blogiversary!

Happy-3rd-birthday-Ad-RepublicJust a quick post to share that today is my 3 Year Blogiversary.  It’s still one of the best decisions I ever made, to begin this blog and attempt to share my passion for reading with other passionate readers.  I never imagine that I would “meet” so many thoughtful, kind, intelligent, interesting people out there in the world.  You all seriously save my opinion of the internet.  🙂

Thanks for reading, thanks for commenting, and thanks for creating interesting content that I love to read myself.  I’ve found so many new authors in the last three years – I’ll always be grateful to you for expanding my reading world!

Happy New Year to all my blogger friends.  I’m going to get myself some cake now to celebrate.  🙂

Love, Laila

    1. Lord, I don’t know – I suppose that since my husband was working ( he’s a bartender/bar manager) and I was home alone with the little one, I was bored and wanting connection! Ha ha. I know that I was in a space where I needed an outlet to talk about books – because I don’t know many passionate readers IRL. (With the exception of my book group, which is a different configuration than it was in 2014.) Anyway, thanks!

  2. Laila, I’m so happy that we found each other! You have been so kind, encouraging, and thoughtful with your blog and all of your blog comments. Here’s to many more wonderful years as internet friends!!

  3. Happy 3 years!! It’s so true what you said – book bloggers save my opinion of the internet. Before blogging I didn’t spend much time on the internet at all, but now I have so many new friends. 🙂

  4. Congrats on 3 years of blogging, Laila! That’s quite a milestone. Isn’t it amazing how time flies? I feel like I started my blog only last year. It’s fun to look back and see how things have grown too. What reflections do you have after three years of blogging? I’d love to learn from your superior expertise! 😉

    1. Ha! Well, I think I might have finally learned not to compare myself with other bloggers. Gretchen Rubin has a rule of happiness that says, “Be Gretchen.” Which means stay true to yourself and don’t fret about comparison. So I’m just trying to Be Laila, with my unique circumstances and time limitations and other obligations and pursuits. I just won’t have the blogging output that some bloggers do, and that’s okay. I just mainly want to enjoy myself and feel connected to other bloggers! It’s taken me three years to get to this point! 🙂

  5. A belated congratulations! Three years is good. It’s long enough where you can feel like you know what you are doing but still new enough that it remains exciting. May there be many book and many years of fun ahead!
